    Representatives of SOC participated in forum on Sports and Olympism in Africa.

    Members of Somali National Olympic Committee took part in Forum on Sport and Olympism in Africa which took place in Tunis on 21-27 November 2005.

Members of Somali National Olympic Committee took part in Forum on Sport and Olympism in Africa which took place in Tunis on 21-27 November 2005. The aim of the forum was to discuss the ways to develop the sport in Africa, and  was present members of Africa's National Olympic Committees and members of International Olympic Committee.  The Somali delegation were Mr Duran Farah S.O.C Vice President who is the head of International Relations and Mr Abdullahi Tarabi S.O.C general Secretary.  Overall the forum was success where many issues were raised and different topics were discussed.  Mr. Farah and Mr Tarabi met various people including representatives from some African National Olympic Committees, representatives of International Olympic Committees and different international federations, where they raised their concerns regarding the treatment of international Sporting institutions towards the Somali Olympic Committee."Our discussions with the representatives of different international sports institutions including International Olympic Committee, International Olympic Solidarity, ANOCA and various international Federations were fruitfull where they all seemed very sympathetic with the difficulties facing the Somali Sports" said by Duran Farah.
