Somali NOC held its first Strategic Planning session in Djibouti in December 2010. The recommendation of developing strategic planning for the coming 4 years emerged from the thesis project of Mr. Abdirashid Haji-nor Somali NOC representative at the 13th edition of the Executive Masters in Sport Management (Memos). It is the first time Somali NOC develops strategic planning. The strategic planning for the upcoiming 4 years emphasizes on the following areas; 1)   Capacity building (both managerial and technical capacity) of SOC and its members 2)   Participation of regional, continental and international games. Focus on London 2012, All Africa Games, Arab Games, Youth Olympic Games and Africa Youth Games 3)    School sport development 4)  Promotion of SOC image and visibility.During the strategic planning session, SOC had drawn the action plan of the four years of the plan and within that four year plan; it had drawn the coming year action Plan.Somali NOC Media Department
