Minister for Youth, Sport and Labour of Puntland State of Somalia Mr. Abdiweli Hersi Abdille have paid a high level Ministerial visit to the activities of the OlympAfrica Centre in Garowe. The Minister was very impressed the efforts of Somalia Olympic Committee of trying to spread Olympic values in all of Somalia.  The center which its first stage has been completed in January, is fully fuctioning in is used by the youth of Garowe daily. The Director of the Centre Mohamed Shiino explained the progress of the programme and it is in second stage, which will start in coming weeks.  Former Somali basketball legend Ahmed Dahir Ahmed who has been in the town for sports related work for the past 6 months gave detailed explaination of the activities that are currently running in the centre, where he also mentioned the youth in this area and general population are eagerly waiting the completion of the centre.
