Somali National Olympic committee senior vice president and head of International relations Duran Ahmed Farah on Sunday spelt out to the local media on the issues discussed during the recent ANOCA meeting in TOGO where African governments were urged to respect the independence of national Olympic committees in their countries.   The meeting was held at the side lines of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) which was held in the Togolese capital Lome late last month. In a press statement on Sunday the senior vice president said the meeting was also raised issued relating to the promotion of sports development in the continent. The Somali National Olympic committee senior vice president Duran Ahmed Farah told journalists that the president of International Olympic committee Jacque Rogue who addressed at the meeting urged African governments to respect sports autonomy in the countries.
