On the eve of the Muslim’s sacred Eid Al Adha celebrations the president of Somali National Olympic committee Aden Haji Yeberow has sent congratulatory message to the Muslims around the world and in particular to the Somali People.
“On behalf of the Somali National Olympic committee I congratulate all Somalis where ever they are in the world on the arrival of the Muslim festival, the Eid Al Adha which marks the end of the pilgrimage the 5th pillar of our religion” the Somali NOC president said in an emailed press statement over night on Sunday.
“Today year I pray to Allah to reach the Somali people in peace, prosperity, development and put them out of the long-running hardships” the Somali NOC President Aden Hajji Yeberow said in his Eid congratulatory message.
Somalis have been experiencing civil wars and other difficulties for more than two decades and the president said he hopes that next Muslim festival coincides with a time that Somalis are luxuriating in peace and development.
