As Somalia The sporting official has died when a mortar rounded on his home in the north of the city during a heavy fighting between Somali government forces on one side and fighters belonging to the extremist groups of Hizbal islam and the Al-Qaeda-linked movement of Al-Shabab.
According to Somali Olympic committee president Aden hajji Yeberow popularly known as Wiish the slain official was one of the hard-working individuals who spent more time to develop Somali sport pre and during the last two decades of unrest in the war-ravaged horn of African nation of Somalia.
