Somali National Olympic Committee leaders have returned home after a 4-day trip to Switzerland where they held a number of meetings with international sport Somali minister of sport Mowliid Maan Mahmoud led the delegation which included Somali NOC president Abdulkadeer Ibraahim, Somali NOC vice president Duran Farah, secretary general Abdullahi Ahmed Tarabi and Deqa Hussein from the International Boxing Federation and ambassador of Somali Olympics in Switzerland. The Somali delegation met in Lausanne with IOC chief Dr Jaques Rogge and presented a document carrying full details of the work of the Somali NOC in the lawless nation for the past six years and how the Somali NOC has managing its work during the difficult period.The Somali NOC vice president and head of international relations Duran Farah told AIPS that the meeting with IOC opened a new progressive way for Somali sport adding that the IOC chief and his colleagues seemed to be more active to help Somalia get back on its feet again.
