Somali Olympic Commitee members headed by the Secretary General of SOC has participated in the Olympic Solidarity Forum. The Forum was held in the capital of Tanzania, Dares-Salaam from 3-4 of May 2010. The Forum was organised by the Olympic Solidarity department of the International Olympic Committee.
The Forum bring together over 60 participants from 25 African Nations. the particpants were from the IOC English speaking coutnries. The particpants took lessons of Sport Autonomy, Good Governance, Mediation and Arbitration from high rank officials from the International Olympic Committee, Court of Arbitration of Sport, and ANOCA.
During the Forum, Paticpants were making presentations on the relations with their stakeholders; the government, national federations and the society. Mr. Abdullahi A. Tarabi, Secretary General of SOC made the presentation on behalf of Somali Olympic Commitee and presented a report on the relations SOC has with its stakeholders.
At the conclusion of the Forum particpants made debates and discussions on the possible ways of maintaining the Sport autonomy and enhacing good governance within the Olympic Movement.
